You said it can be adaptable, but didn't really say what its main purpose is. Is it just a text editor that can be used for html and programming? A very odd problem. I'll have to look over the code that the blog uses and see if I can make some corrections.... proteusEdit is, yeah, basically your typically programmer's editor plus many cool features. I agree, most suck! It's not WYSIWYG (ala Dreamweaver) but just text, with some embellishments. For example, it won't have the stupid text-based FTP that you see in some editors, but will have a full-fledged GUI FTP program internal to the software. It will also have things like in-line calculator features, character map charts, reference guides for things like HTML, CSS, and Javascripit, and will have several syntax tools ala Visual Studio.
