Not a very good night.

Yuck, well it hasn’t been the best night in the world. Mostly library issues. Grrrrr…. Apparently they never checked in nine or ten books/CDs/videos I returned on time several weeks ago, and now they’re missing. And I really did turn them in — I remember it very clearly. And when I alerted them about it over the phone, they found two of the items. Then I went over to the library later and found two more. So five more missing, four books and a video. I couldn’t find them anywhere, so I’m thinking they might have been rounded off to a different library in the system. The library was right in the middle of upgrading their system at the time, and I think these books got lost in the shuffle.

But really, it wouldn’t bother me so much if I thought the librarian I was talking with believed me just a little bit. But it was clear that she didn’t. She wasn’t exactly accusatory, but every solution she suggested was along the lines of “maybe look under the bed.” She more or less left it up to me to suggesting things like “maybe you can do a search and see if it was shipped to a different library?” Rrrrr. Even after we found almost half of the items that were marked missing. Rrrrr. But she was nice enough to go ahead and remove the fines. She was being helpful. She just didn’t believe me.

Also I got a message from the place where I tried, yes tried, to buy that camera I’m so excited about. It turns out we never changed the billing address for the business debit card when we moved — because it apparently involves a different process than changing the address for our bank account that the debit card is for. I have no idea why. And it’s not that bad I guess, easy enough to fix right? Well I tried calling and they have some stupid rule where business accounts can’t update their information over the phone, you have to actually go into a branch location. Rrrrr.*It’s frustrating, but I do admit I’m glad they’re that careful with my account. Identify theft is issue these days. So I updated my order with my old information and explained the issue, so hopefully there won’t be a problem. Just my stupid mistake. Rrrr.

Plus, today I’ve gotten just about zero done. Very frustrating.

Rrrrrr.
