Libraries and raw chicken
Sigh. The library still couldn’t find my books! They ran a ’search’ and couldn’t find them. But if it’s only as good as their last ’search’, where I went in two hours later and found two items they said weren’t in their system, then I don’t exactly have faith in their abilities. So now I have to play hardball and tell them they have to do it again.
And poor Jen is worried about food poisoning now. We got Arby’s for dinner, and she got chicken tenders. And one of them was just raw! I mean raw, raw — except for a thin end which was thin enough it at least got cooked a little. Fortunately that was the end she bit into first, and noticed the rest was raw. Yuck.
Things are going great on my software front though. I’ve actually had a chance to work on my todo assistant lately, and it’s coming along very well. I’d say I’ll be basically wrapping that up (for personal use) this weekend, if not tomorrow! Later I’ll come back to it and turn it into something to sell.
Well, I’ll see if I can put another couple of hours into it before I completely zonk out….
