Interesting Day…

Well, after getting very little sleep last night (for various reasons), today turned out pretty interesting. My first meeting was good enough, it was with a company that makes railings. Sounds pretty dull, right? Well, not really. They actually very cool, architectural designs. Think about the hand rails in the big two-floor area of the law firm in Angel, kind of like that. And they make everything themselves! The tour through the factory was very cool, the tools were just amazing. You could maybe fit three of them in our whole house. They had this monster computer-controlled metal lathe there that could have eaten up my little wood lathe, turned it into a doorknob, and spit it out again. Very impressive.

The other meeting was a surprise! The project itself is going to be a blast — a Pacman game for the website of a large ISP. The staffing guy — I’m going to call him ‘Juice’ — didn’t tell me who it was with until right before I left to meet with him. Well, it was with the largest advertising agency in Kansas City, that’s who! And it seems like they’re interested in creating an extended relationship, too. Yeah! I won’t spoil my anonymity game by telling you who the client is that is asking for the Pacman game, but suffice it to say that I’m sure you’ve heard of them and have seen their tv ads. They have some other very impressive clients too. Very impressive.
