hum ho, another weekend gone
Well at least I actually got to do weekend-type things this weekend!
I played a little more “Capitalism II” over the weekend, also. I’m currently on the tutorial on creating Research & Development buildings and having them work on improving your products. This tutorial is somehow much much harder than any of the others. I’m on my third time trying to win this tutorial. It’s starting to annoy me!
I was so tired last night, I went to bed even before Jen got home, but I stayed awake waiting for her. Then we started a movie. I have some weird problem where I simply can’t fall asleep if there is any kind of talking going on, anywhere. I can’t fall asleep if there are people talking around me, if the TV’s on (a non-instrumental-music channel), if there’s a movie on, or whatever. I can stay asleep most of the time if this is happening around me, but I can’t fall asleep. Big problem. Well, so I got hooked on the movie last night — we were watching Twister. (We’ve both had big tornado dreams lately, for some reason) But then after Twister, as Jen was falling asleep, Chain Reaction came on HBO. I flipped to it, with the intention of just watching the beginning bit that they filmed at the University of Chicago (in the movie, a professor is giving a talk on the main performance stage in the school — where the university symphony orchestra performs — but I did go to see Kurt Vonnegut speak there once) But then I got hooked. I had completely forgotten that Rachel Weisz was in it! It’s not that good a movie, but it had enough cool people (Morgan Freeman was also in it) that I was hooked again. Also, the last time I had seen it was before I went to the UofC, so this time it was much cooler seeing places I actually recognized.
So anyway, I ended up going to sleep fairly late. Yuck. I need sleep.
