Rough, then nice
Boy today started out rough! My mom, Killy, and I walked around (Killy in his stroller) the plaza today at the Art Fair. Which, to be fair, was very neat. But it was very hot! Very sunny, lots of blacktop, and lots of people. Just perfect for somebody that gets cranky when he’s overheated, and is oklophobic.*fear of crowds The rough part, though, was that Jen was doing a seperate thing for the museum at a different location — far enough away to be a tiring walk, but too close to bother driving between the two spots (because of the insane traffic on the Plaza for the Art Fair). It’s also just about the biggest hill in Kansas City. Going down was no problem. But then, after my mom had lunch, I push Killy back up the hill to take lunch to Jen. I thought I was going to pass out, and Killy would roll over me on his way back down the huge hill.
But this afternoon was very nice. Killy, Jen, and I all had a nice nap.
Then mom and Erin watched Killy while Jen and I got to go on a date! It’s only the third time since Killy was born that we both went out without him. (and Erin was traumatized both of the other times, when we stayed out ~3 hours for a movie) We were gone about 1.5 hours, and Killy was still asleep in bed, where we left him, when we got back. We had a nice dinner at The Olive Garden, mmmm…. I had a new dish they have, which I recommend, called Steak Gorganzola Alfredo. I tell you what, steaks and blue cheeses are just meant to go together.
