LuxFX / They Think They’re Newsworthy

I’m still having a tough time motivating myself enough. I’ve got a fair amount on my plate right now, but I realize I’m going to be gone for the next week starting Saturday, and that I don’t really have a chance to finish anything up before then. So my motivation to actually work on this stuff is pretty low.

More bad news: Disney is going to make a Toy Story 3 — without Pixar! Technically, Disney owns the rights to all of the Toy Story stuff. But yikes. I can picture the reviews now, “A little better than Pocohantas 2, but not as good as Lion King 1 1/2.” This has got ‘direct to video’ written all over it.

Pixar, I think, has become what Disney was. Disney has turned into a recycling factory. They’re surviving right now by re-releasing movies and making sequels to movies they made almost 10 years ago! Do they really have nothing new to work on? Nothing original? Sigh.
