Typo3 -> Mambo!

Typo3 did the cha-cha-cha out of my plans, now I’m doing the Mambo! Why? Because Typo3 kicked my butt. Hey, it’s a pro-bono project. How many weeks do you think I’m going to spend learning this system!? Typo3 is enormously powerful, and I hope that one day I’ll pick it up again and figure the darn thing out. Just not now.

Mambo, other than being easier to learn (although not as powerful), has a much more refined backend. Better yet, users that are designated as ‘editors’ can actually edit the content through the frontend instead of having to go through the backend. This is very good! Not only does it keep my client’s heads from exploding, but the easier it is for them, the less calls I get asking explanations for things.

    For what it’s worth, frontend editing is also possible in typo3 ;)

    Isn’t EVERYTHING? :) I’d love to learn Typo3 one day, and take advantage of the sheer power. But for now, I’m more impressed with Mambo and Exponent for their ease of use.
