poor cats!
I thought the cats were just being especially cuddly today. I mean really cuddly! It turns out they had just run out of food. I just filled up that big food dispenser a few days ago, so it must have just run out this morning. They must have been having an especially hungry couple of days, that dispenser normally lasts nearly a week.
Killy started doing much better with the cats yesterday. It was so cute, we were all lazing about in bed yesterday morning, and Apollo was lying at the foot of the bed. Killy, not much of a ‘laze’-er, was crawling around the bed looking for more remote controls to drop off the side. He spotted Apollo and went for her, which always makes me cringe. But he went up and actually started petting her, which is much better than the grabbing and shaking and tackling Apollo normally has to put up with (and puts up with very well, I might add). This was genuine petting — starting at the neck, and gently stroking down the back. It was amazing! It was just like we’ve been trying to teach him! He really enjoyed it, too. He stopped, crouched down, and rested his face on top of Apollo’s side, looking up at us and smiling, with one hand gently resting on her side. It was precious.
