back from vacation!
We finally got back from our vacation late late late last night. Or no, make that early this morning. Let me put it this way: we will never fly AirTran again. It was just like the last time Jen flew, so they’re 2 for 2 with us. We had an over three hour delay and they have no idea where Killy’s car seat is (fortunately it was the one from the car we didn’t take, so we were still able to drive Killy home no problem). It was just a miserable experience. The kind where the only comforting thoughts were that there were other people caught in the same delay, but with even bigger problems. Yuck.
The vacation itself was lovely! We were in Virginia for my sister’s wedding, for those that didn’t know. It was a beautiful wedding, I think Katie and Trav were very happy. Expect pictures soon!
One thing I couldn’t get a picture of was an amazing display of fireflies at Jen’s parents’ house. They live on a farm, and have a big field right next to the house, lined with evergreens. The fireflies were all over all the trees around the field and in the yard around the house and in the grass in both the field and the yard. They were so bright I could still see every one of them in the distant trees, probably 150 yards away. All combined, they acted like one big christmas lights display. There were so many of them, they weren’t twinkling, they were sparkling. Just beautiful!
