Stupid dealership

So. The van wasn’t ready yesterday. It was ready this afternoon. We drove out to get it (45 minutes each way, if the traffic is good — which it wasn’t) and Jen dropped me off to pick it up. They drive it out (which was a good sign) and hand me the keys, and the new key/keyfob we ordered. I test out the new keyfob, and discover that the hatch won’t open! It wasn’t the keyfob, you could see it try to open and it wouldn’t. You had to yank it manually to get it to open, which of course negates the benefits of having a power hatch in the first place, eh?

So I sit around the dealership for another 20 minutes while they take the van back. They finally get it fixed and I’m getting ready to drive off. I try the cd changer, and it turns out it wasn’t fixed. It had the same problem. So I have them look at it again.

This time I sit around for about 25 minutes. ZZzzzzz…. They bring it back, and tell me they’re very sorry but despite the fact that we called them four times about the cd changer, they neglected to have ever told the service department about it. So now, we’re going to have to bring the van back to the dealership and have them remove the cd changer. Then they’ll have to ship the cd changer off to get it exchanged. Which I suppose means we either have to leave the van with them for another four or five days, or drive around with a hole in our dash. Either way, we’ll have to drive back again!!

So frustrating….
