Happy Halloween!
Killy dressed up as a cowboy tonight — very cute! We went to the few houses on our street that had their lights on and finally introduced ourselves to our neighbors (about 17 months late!). Killy had a great time once he figured out that every time somebody opened the door they cooed over him and gave him something. He was very good at saying thank you! One of the great things about sign language is that kids can use it to communicate long before they gain good verbal skills. Killy even spontaneously says thank you about 30% of the time, I would guess. We’re still working on it of course, but how many 17 months olds say “thank you” on their own.
