After thinking about it, I’m getting even more certain that the overheated processor was the cause of my recent computer problems. Until just a few minutes ago, I was hesitant in placing the full blame because I couldn’t figure out why an overheat would be triggered every night. That would be when the processor is used least, right? No, because that’s when my virus scan and spyware scan take place! Especially the virus scan, an in-depth process that will use maximum cpu power for several hours. Suddenly I feel dumb for not checking on the core temperatures earlier….
