It reached somewhere around 101° or 102° today, with a heat index of 106° or higher. Wow. Sitting in the sun, our outdoor thermometer read 114°! It was still 85° when we left for our walk tonight, and extremely muggy. I’ll be glad for cooler weather to come in.

Our new minivan won’t be ready until Monday. Sigh. The problem was with the torque converter. It was a faulty part that was recalled — but whoever had this van before us never did the recall. Ah.
